Job Summary

Supports Senior Estimators and/or Project Managers in all estimating functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to estimate the time, money, materials, and labor required to construct commercial and residential developments ranging from institutional construction to high-rise apartments. Responsibilities

• Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.

• Comprehend scope of work and estimate costs by analyzing labor, equipment, material, and time requirements.

• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors assisting in executing bid packages from beginning to end under the direction of the Senior Estimator.

• Prepares requests for information by collecting and analyzing, given data, and trends.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred

• Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions

• Ability of being dependable and trustworthy

• Time management

• Ability to manage time and be accurate at all times

• Ability to work under pressure in a highly productive and competitive environment

• Microsoft Office and related spreadsheet and database software
